Dr Sama Weerapperuma


Dental Surgeon

Dr Sama Weerapperuma graduated from the University of Peradeniya in 1976. Following graduation she worked at the Dental Institute in Colombo. Dr Sama worked in the UK for a number of years in various dental schools. Upon her return to Sri Lanka she established the clinic in Colombo. Her main clinical area of interest is Orthodontics.

In addition Dr Sama has been a past president of the College of General Practitioners, and also as the secretary of the Sri Lanka Dental Association. She played an pivotal role in providing dental care for displaced people following the 2004 Tsunami.

Dr Indika Weerapperuma


Dental Surgeon with Specialist Interest in Prosthodontics and Cosmetic Dentistry

Dr. Indika graduated from the University of Bristol in 2008 and spent over 9 years in the UK training and working as dentist. During this time, he was awarded a Masters degree in Fixed and Removable prosthodontics by the University of Manchester and is a Member of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons of the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh.

He has also completed several other training programs in cosmetic dentistry, implants and endodontics.

He provides high quality dental care with the best possible materials and modern techniques.

His main clinical interests include;
Cosmetic dentistry in which a patient’s smile and appearance is improved, and

Prosthodontics dentistry in which missing and broken teeth are restored to their correct form and function.

Prof Nadeena Jayasuriya

Prof Nadeena Jayasuriya is a Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Dental Sciences, University of Peradeniya. He has joined Kinross Dental Care to provide surgical care of a very high standard to all our patients.

Apart from training in Sri Lanka, he obtained advance training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee, UK and Royal Melbourne Hospital, Australia.

He practices the full spectrum of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with special interest in dental implants, Oral cancer and corrective jaw surgery and wisdom tooth removal. He strives to provide high quality treatment with exceptional patient care.
He is a Fellow of the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and a member of the Asia Pacific Hospice palliative care network.
He is an active member of many professional associations of Sri Lanka and an advisor to the postgraduate institute of Medicine, University of Colombo, Sri Lanka,

In addition to his extensive clinical practice Dr Nadeena is extremely passionate about teaching and carrying out research and has undertaken a full-time role in teaching dental students, diploma trainees and postgraduate students in dentistry and Oral and Maxillofacial surgery in Sri Lanka.

His research interests include, dento-alveolar surgery, oral cancer, doctor-patient communication and cleft surgery and corrective jaw surgery. He won the Presidential award for research and publication in 2010
